Amaryllis (Hippestrum) „Top Choice” este un soi radiant cu un singur flori, sărbătorit pentru înfloririle sale roșii mari, aprinse, care emană eleganță și farmec. Petalele largi formează o siluetă clasică în formă de stele, evidențiată de un gât verde luminos în centru, care adaugă prospețime și contrast. Cu culoarea sa strălucitoare și forma rafinată, „Top Choice” este perfect pentru strălucirea interioarelor de iarnă și crearea de aranjamente festive, veselă.

Planta crește la o înălțime de 50–60 cm (20–24 inci) și produce tulpini puternice care poartă 2–4 flori mari, fiecare măsurând cu diametrul de 18–22 cm. Florile sale roșii vibrante și frunzișul verde lucios îl fac o alegere excelentă pentru vase, containere sau ca flori tăiate izbitoare. Înfloritor în lumină strălucitoare, indirectă, „Top Choice” este rezistentă în zonele USDA 8–11, potrivită pentru cultivarea interioară sau plantarea exterioară în climă ușoară.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

  • Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
  • Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
  • Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
  • Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
  • Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
  • Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
  • As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
  • After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and keep the leaves growing. See our Planting and Care guide for reblooming.
