Tika Coral is a double amaryllis in an exceptionally delicate coral shade that softly shimmers as the light changes. Its large, wavy petals blend warm pink and light coral with peachy cream towards the heart.

A favourite with lovers of soft, refined colours – and a welcome glow in winter and early spring.

Planting and care

Plant in a pot just wider than the bulb, with the top third above the soil.
Place in a bright, warm spot (20–22°C), out of harsh midday sun.
Water sparingly until the first shoot appears, then keep the soil lightly moist. Double flowers are heavy, so a thin plant stick can help.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
