Flower stalks of several flowers develop on the top before flowering. The lily-like flowers with six petals are 6-10 cm in diameter and bright red in colour. The flowering period will begin 7-8 weeks after planting.

Amaryllis is a sun-loving plant. Propagated by seed, sprouted daughter bulbs. It cannot tolerate stagnant water. Repotting is best done after the flowering and stalks have dried. The best time for transplanting is November-December in small pots. Amaryllis bulbs are poisonous!
