Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) 'Record' is a striking multi-flowered amaryllis renowned for its large, trumpet-shaped blooms with a delicate blend of white and coral-pink streaks, creating a soft yet eye-catching display. The elegantly flared flowers, with their subtle gradient of color and velvety texture, add charm and sophistication to any indoor setting or festive arrangement. This variety’s captivating two-tone petals make it a perfect choice for brightening winter décor or serving as a vibrant centerpiece.

The plant grows to a height of 50–65 cm (20–26 inches) and produces sturdy flower stalks bearing 5–7 large blooms with a diameter of 14–17 cm. Its radiant flowers, contrasted against lush, strap-like green foliage, are ideal for pots, containers, or as luxurious cut flowers. 'Record' thrives in bright, indirect light and is suitable for indoor cultivation or outdoor planting in warm climates.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and keep the leaves growing. See our Planting and Care guide for reblooming.
