Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) Albarino is an exquisite variety that captivates at first glance with its snow-white color and greenish center. Its large flowers, which open on sturdy stems, look like an elegant decoration — like the fine wine for which the variety is named.

Each flower is about 18–20 cm in diameter, with wide petals of a soft texture that give the impression of delicate silk. The bulb forms one or two flower stalks, each bearing 3–5 large flowers that bloom in succession, ensuring long-lasting flowering.

Albarino is the perfect choice for a winter or spring windowsill. It not only fills the room with beauty, but also creates a cozy atmosphere of peace and warmth. It looks great in pots, decorative planters, or gift arrangements.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
