Red Peacock is a double-flowered amaryllis (Hippeastrum) with red flowers, supplied as a 28/30 cm bulb from Holland.

How to grow

Plant the bulb in a pot just slightly wider than the bulb, with the top third above the soil. Place it in a bright, warm spot (around 20–22°C) and water sparingly until the first shoot appears, then keep the soil lightly moist. See our planting and care guide.

Pflanzanleitung

So pflanzen Sie Amaryllis-Zwiebeln (Hippeastrum)

Wählen Sie einen Topf, der etwa 4 cm breiter ist als die Zwiebel, mit Abzugsloch.
Füllen Sie ihn mit durchlässiger Blumenerde und lassen Sie oben etwa 2 cm frei.
Setzen Sie die Zwiebel mit der Spitze nach oben in die Mitte.
Bedecken Sie sie mit Erde, das obere Drittel der Zwiebel bleibt frei.
Einmal angießen, dann nur leicht feucht halten, bis der erste Trieb erscheint.
Hell und warm stellen, ohne direkte Mittagssonne.
Bei Bedarf den Blütenstiel mit einem Stab stützen.
