Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) 'Costa Blanca' är en tidlöst elegant enblommig sort, beundrad för sin rena och lysande skönhet. De stora, stjärnformade blommorna är snövita med en silkeslen struktur och en frisk grön hals i mitten, och strålar sofistikerade och lugn. Med sin orörda färg gör blommorna ett utmärkt val för moderna interiörer, bröllop eller semesterdekor, vilket ger en känsla av renhet och nåd.

Växten växer till en höjd av 50–60 cm (20–24 tum) och producerar starka stjälkar med 2–4 stora blommor, var och en mäter 18–22 cm i diameter. Dess strålande vita blommor, kompletterade av glansigt grönt bladverk, gör 'Costa Blanca' idealisk för krukor, behållare eller som utsökta klippblommor i arrangemang. Denna sort är hård i USDA -zoner 8–11, lämplig för både inomhusodling och utomhusplantering i varmare klimat.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

  • Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
  • Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
  • Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
  • Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
  • Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
  • Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
  • As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
