Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) Diva is a luxurious variety with bright, rich red flowers that fully live up to their name. Large, open petals with a slight sheen create a striking appearance, attracting attention at first glance. The flowers reach up to 20 cm in diameter and bloom on a sturdy, straight stem about 50 cm high.

This variety is ideal for winter or spring flowering indoors, as it brings an atmosphere of celebration and warmth to the gloomiest days. Diva does not require any special care: moderate watering, bright light, and a period of rest after flowering are all that is needed for repeat blooms.

How to Plant?

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and keep the leaves growing. See our Planting and Care guide for reblooming.
