Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) 'Record' is a striking multi-flowered amaryllis renowned for its large, trumpet-shaped blooms with a delicate blend of white and coral-pink streaks, creating a soft yet eye-catching display. The elegantly flared flowers, with their subtle gradient of color and velvety texture, add charm and sophistication to any indoor setting or festive arrangement. The plant grows to a height of 50–65 cm (20–26 inches) and produces sturdy flower stalks bearing 5–7 large blooms with a diameter of 14–17 cm. How to Plant?

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

  • Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
  • Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
  • Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
  • Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
  • Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
  • Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
  • As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
