Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) Orange Double is a bright double variety that impresses with its rich orange color and multi-layered petals. The flowers are large, lush, with a warm, sunny color that immediately attracts attention. Thanks to its double form, the flower looks especially impressive, resembling a bright flash among the green leaves.

This variety is perfect for growing in pots on a windowsill and will also be a luxurious decoration for winter and spring interiors. Easy to care for, it blooms easily at home, filling the house with warmth and bright emotions. An ideal choice for a gift or festive decoration.

How to Plant?

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

  • Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
  • Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
  • Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
  • Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
  • Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
  • Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
  • As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
  • After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and keep the leaves growing. See our Planting and Care guide for reblooming.
