Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) 'Temptation' is a dazzling variety that lives up to its name with bold, eye-catching blooms. The large, star-shaped flowers feature pure white petals dramatically brushed with deep crimson-red at the center, gradually fading into soft streaks toward the edges. A vivid green throat adds freshness and contrast, making each blossom look vibrant and full of energy. With its striking bicolor pattern, 'Temptation' is the perfect choice to bring festive charm and elegance into winter interiors.

This variety grows to a height of 50–60 cm (20–24 inches) and produces sturdy stems bearing 2–4 large flowers, each measuring 18–22 cm in diameter. How to Plant?

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs

  • Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
  • Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
  • Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
  • Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
  • Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
  • Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
  • As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
