Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) is a luxurious bulbous plant that delights with its abundant and long-lasting flowering. It is ideal for indoor cultivation and for creating spectacular flower arrangements. One of the most exquisite varieties is Amaryllis Tres Chic, which attracts attention with its elegant shape and delicate color.

Amaryllis Tres Chic “Tres Chique” is a tuberous perennial with spectacular star-shaped flowers. The flowers are medium-sized, simple and have an unusual coloring. They are colored in three colors: dark red with a crimson cast (petals), white and yellow-green (middle). The throat of the flower is lettuce colored. The petals are oblong-oval with sharp tips. Flowers are collected in inflorescences, usually 5-7 of each. An amazing plant! The stamens are white and arranged horizontally. The size of the flower is about 14 cm in diameter. Compact and refined at the same time, this variety will become a real decoration of any interior.

This plant is notable for its unpretentiousness in care. It grows well in bright diffused light, needs moderate watering and good drainage. After a dormant period, Tres Chic blooms again, giving an unforgettable experience with its beauty.

How to Plant?

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis(hippeastrum) bulbs

Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
Place the bulb in the center of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
Water the soil until it is evenly moist, but not waterlogged.
Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
Water the plant only when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch.
As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake to prevent it from bending or breaking.
After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with bright, indirect sunlight.
