Amaryllis belladonna (Belladonna lily)

Amaryllis belladonna, also known as the Belladonna lily or Jersey lily, is the true Amaryllis from South Africa. Unlike the indoor amaryllis (Hippeastrum), it is planted in spring or early summer and flowers outdoors in late summer and early autumn (August–September), with fragrant pink trumpet flowers on bare stems.

Why choose us?

  • 100% flowering guarantee

Every bulb is checked by hand before it ships, and we are a BKD member, the Dutch inspection service for flower bulbs. If a bulb does not flower, we replace it or refund you.

  • Nearly 400 varieties

From classic Christmas reds and pure whites to lush doubles, exotic spider types, compact Sonatini and ready-to-bloom wax amaryllis – one of the largest amaryllis ranges in Europe.

  • Directly from Dutch growers

Around 90% of our range comes directly from specialised growers in the Netherlands. Bulbs are kept in climate-controlled storage in Voorhout until they ship.
