We give you the opportunity to grow an exotic plant of amazing beauty! This is one of the best new varieties. A very rich dark colour at the throat with a rich burgundy hue around the edges. This is what the flower of this amaryllis looks like. There are three or four flowers. They are simple, funnel-shaped, measuring 20-25 cm in diameter. They tower proudly on a strong stiff flower-bearing stem. The petals have a silky texture. There are clearly visible veins on the petals. The flowers contrast beautifully with the beautiful linear foliage.
Excellent as a room decoration, either as a solo plant or in combination with indoor daffodils (such as Paperwhites or Erlicheer). The pot can also be decorated with shimmering white lanterns for an impressive New Year and Christmas show.
Hippeastrums, better known as Amaryllis, should be planted in large pots in nutritious soil. The pots should then be placed in a warm place near a radiator or fireplace and watered sparingly until the first signs of growth appear. When the plant has reached a height of 10 cm, it should be removed from the radiator and waiting to admire the stunning, huge flowers. 'Grand Diva' can also be grown in the garden, outdoors. The leaves remain green after flowering and continue to grow. Then they die off. The plant begins its dormancy period. The plants are not watered and are thus left to rest for 3-4 months. The bulb can be removed from the pot during this time, but the roots must be protected from drying out. Keep the bulb at room temperature during the resting period. This variety will flower 6 to 8 after planting. Plant height: 40-50 cm.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis(hippeastrum) bulbs
- Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
- Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
- Place the bulb in the center of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
- Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
- Water the soil until it is evenly moist, but not waterlogged.
- Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
- Water the plant only when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch.
- As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake to prevent it from bending or breaking.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and continue to care for the plant by watering it regularly and providing it with bright, indirect sunlight.
