4.4/5 on Trustpilot · 100% flowering guarantee
A bright, elegant, beautifully flowering bulbous plant. Hippeastrum originates from South America. The leaves are long and strap-shaped. The flowers are very large with a pleasant fragrance and sit on tall, sturdy stems. When the flowers are fully open, the petals bend beautifully and the shape of the flower changes.
Large bulbs can produce one to three flower stems, each carrying 4–6 large flowers: red with a wide snow-white border along the edge of the petals. The throat is green, with white strokes running to the middle of the petals. The flower shape is open and round, about 20 cm across.
The flower stem is 45 to 50 cm high. The petals are rounded, wide and curly at the throat; the pistil and stamens are white. Larger bulbs produce two or three flower stems. It takes about two months from planting to flowering. This variety is suitable for cutting.

Guide and tips for planting amaryllis (Hippeastrum) bulbs
- Choose a pot that is at least 4 cm wider than the bulb and has drainage holes in the bottom.
- Fill the pot with well-draining soil, leaving about 2 cm of space at the top.
- Place the bulb in the centre of the pot, with the pointed end facing up.
- Cover the bulb with soil, leaving the top one-third of the bulb exposed.
- Water once until the soil is evenly moist, then keep it only slightly moist until the first shoot appears.
- Place the pot in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight.
- As the plant grows, support the stalk with a stake if needed.
- After the flowers have faded, cut the stem off at the base and keep the leaves growing. See our Planting and Care guide for reblooming.
